How to perfectly trim your beard

You should know the importance of grooming your facial hairs as they outspeak for you in public. Today I am going over 8 tips and trick for beard grooming and beard shaving which will help you to groom your beard in a pleasing manner for a better look.

1) Hot towel on the face

You may not take it on a serious note while shaving but consider this tip and use a hot towel before starting your shave or starting your trim. Putting a hot towel on the face soften your beard and that allows you to get smoother shave even against the grain. If you are trimming your beard use the hot towel for 4-5 minutes as it straightens your beard hairs, then comb your beard so that you get a perfect length and with that, you can achieve get a perfect trim considering your real length.

How to make a hot towel?

Take a clean towel, soak it in a hot water tub for a minute remove it and wring it hard to remove excess water after that place it in a microwave and heat it up. The hot towel has many other benefits like it promotes hair growth, allows better circulation, and open up the pores so that your cleansing process gets better!

2) Menthol foam

Always choose your shaving foam depending on your skin type if you have a sensitive skin choose a sensitive foam. For best results, always choose a shaving foam or shaving cream which has menthol in it, menthol provides you with a cooling sensation during your shave and maintains it even after your shave is completed. It eliminates the burning sensation after your shave.

Do not use it more around eyes as it may cause irritation when it gets in your eyes.

3) Define your beard and neckline

Trimming or shaving your beard becomes really easy when you know what are you targeting, now here defining your beard and neckline doesn't mean you do it with a ruler and a pencil on your face. Simply understand, keep what hides your bald spots, anything extra shave it off! If you are having bald spots allow your beard hairs to grow when the hairs become long enough to cover your bald spots it gives a richer and a full beard look even when you can't grow one.

Put your index finger below your jawline, anything below that needs to go! Same goes for the face, define a line that gives a full beard look covering your bald spots, anything above that needs to be shaved.

4) Use a good quality trimmer or a good quality Razor

5) Mark your edges with trimmer before shaving it off

Now, this depends very much on your skin type, for some of the people against the grain suits best for most with the grain. Again depending on your skin type! Most of us use aftershave gel or aftershave lotion when we are dong grooming or shaving our beard. There is nothing wrong the universe use it! But Aftershave lotion is made with a high concentration of Alchohol which dries out your skin giving an invite to pimples and rashes to pop if you have sensitive skin try using a good quality moisturizer instead of aftershave lotion it will keep your skin hydrated. I personally use Johnson baby lotion for my sensitive skin type, now don't judge me!
