When you consider workouts, or the gym you are in between a bunch of people who are total strangers and it is very important to stay confident and carry yourself during your training sessions, ever thought what to wear to the gym?A gym is not a place where you can wear anything and carry on with your workouts you have to be in proper gym outfit. A proper gym attire or gym clothes hold significant importance during your workouts. They not only make you feel confident but also allows you stretchability, mobility, and resistance in your workouts may it be bodybuilding, abs workout or a run on a treadmill
Today I am gonna go over some of the best gym outfits you can wear during your workouts and stay motivated during your workouts ( I would be listing down my personal gym essentials at the end of this article):

When you are choosing gym wear or when you are confused about what to wear in the gym? for your workouts, you need to make sure that the gym clothing is breathable and have maximum ventilation so they the sweat does not get accumulated and the fabric keeps you dry during your workouts, one best outfit to go with is the Performance wear these gym wears are made out of breathable and stretchable fabrics like:
Nylon: A breathable fabric that wicks sweat from your skin to the fabric’s surface, where it can evaporate
Spandex/Lycra: The synthetic fabric can expand to nearly 600 percent of its size, offers an unrestricted range of motion, and then snaps back in place
polypropylene: polypropylene is made from plastic. But unlike polyester, this synthetic material is totally water-resistant
Bamboo: Bamboo pulp yields a natural fabric that’s light, breathable, and moisture-wicking—it also protects your skin from ultraviolet rays
All the performance wear including gym tights for men, gym tights for women or rapid dry gym wear and other sweat free gym clothing you see in the market are a combination of above fabrics which allows you stretchability, ventilation, and breathing making your cardio and weight training sweat free.
Hoodies, t-shirts and tank tops are one of the best options in gym clothing as they keep you dry and covered at the same time, you can wear a hoodie in your cardio sessions and that will help you to burn some extra calories as you will sweat more. For women sports bra is also a good option and that goes with any type of shoes and bottoms

I am not a big fan of cotton gym wear and cotton leggings you may not agree with me but one of the basic reason for the hate is that cotton holds sweat yes, Cotton can hold and contain up to 25 times its weight in water alone, that will make you look more sweaty, feel heavy to wear, smell bad, and will take a long time to dry . Also when it comes to stretchability cotton has a limit and will tear off once you have stretched it to the maximum in your workouts. I agree that gym fashion is the point where cotton wins as you have multiple options and prints to wear but still, simplicity speaks at its best!

Tracksuits

Tracksuits are a fun thing to wear as gym wear and it makes you look amazing in the gym, keeps you warm in winter and also helps you to cover up your body in the gym. You can find the tracksuits in different fabrics like cotton tracksuit, lycra tracksuit, nylon tracksuit and can choose the one which you feel is your best tracksuit for gym.
Tracksuits are also the best option when you want to go for a run in winters and you need to keep your body warm, they are comfortable running clothes and also comfortable gym wear.

What shoes to wear in the gym

Shoes are one of the most important things that you carry to the gym out of all your gym essentials they protect you from hurting your foot in the gym and also protects your foot from any weight dropping on it. Good quality gym shoes or training shoes can boost the efficiency of your workout by keeping your legs active and injury free. To my advice always wear training shoes or running shoes during your workouts these shoes will serve the purpose for all of your workout types like weight training, Cardio, abs workout, leg workout, and squats.
Obviously, you can't squat and deadlift in penny loafers or mocassins and that is why you need to invest in good quality gym shoes, also don't confuse training shoes with Fashion trainers fashion trainers are exactly what they the name suggests, and will not be practical nor comfortable for working out.
Also never wear boots or loafers in the gym that just makes you look like a gym idiot!

You cannot just carry everything to the gym in hands you need a duffle bag or a Gym bag for that. Benefits of carrying a duffle bag or a gym bag to the gym help you to stay organized and structured, it helps you keep your belongings like phone, keys, wallet, money, and cards in place and prevent loss of the same. Also, it helps you store your after workout meals like protein shake, boiled eggs or banana so that you can immediately consume the same after your workout and need not have to wait to reach home.

Lastly, I would suggest that please don't wear denim, denim shorts, formal shirts, leather jackets, loafers and eyewear at the gym! There is simply no need for all of these, I see some people working out in the gym wearing denim and Shirts Formal shirts and that break's my heart, that will just make you feel uncomfortable and may cause you injuries as they are not so stretchable.
